LYNDHURST SCENES, 1997-2002

A
sunny, inviting pic from the 1997 Festival tour
-
I
mean, it was REALLY sunny that day
-
Tappan
Zee Bridge, as seen from the backyard of Lyndhurst
-
Big
old original water pipes; A pelican fountain; a wishing well.
-
The
old bowling alley, now under repair. And a mysterious arc forms over
the reconstructed Lyndhurst greenhouse. Is this a case for Art Bell---
or did I just need to step 3 feet to the right?
-
This
double bust of Helen and Anna Gould was moved indoors due to risk from
the weather.
-
Scenes
from around the estate--- Rose cottage, the former mausoleum of Helen
Gould Shepard's kids' dogs, the "hangin' tree" from HoDS
-
Samples
of the Greenhouse Harvest: Squash gourds and a bed of lavender and other herbs.
-
What was once arboreal art has twisted into weird and wild formations.

A bulletin board with pictures of various stages of the Lyndhurst pool house's life,
near-ruin, and regeneration.
-
What was once closed and forbidden is now open, and was used for an antiques auction the
same weekend as the DSCA party.
-
The
entrance and rear of the vast pool house.
-
Some scenes from the perfect fall Sunday at Lyndhurst

I
pose with the Naked Dude of Lyndhurst--- Well, he DOES have a fig leaf,
sort of an early thong.
